Minutes of the January 8, 2008 ASIS Tulsa Chapter meeting
Attendees: Bill Kerr, Ken Hammock, Terrie Hoover, Vic Meyer, Tamara Turner, Jesse Milan, Doug Padgett, Brennen Carr, Steve York, Jim Hight, Sherry Strong
Meeting location: Petroleum Club of Tulsa, 601 South Boulder, Tulsa, OK.
Chapter President, Bill Kerr, called meeting to order.
Bill Kerr led pledge of Allegiance and gave opening remarks.
Victor Meyer presented treasurer’s report
For month ending November 2007
Checking account balance was $10,463.65
Cash on hand was $100.00
Monthly income totaled $180.00
Monthly expenses totaled $2,494.15
Note: scholarships issued in November
For month ending December 2007
Checking account balance was $8,812.80
Cash on hand was $100.00
Monthly income totaled $330.00
Monthly expenses totaled $1,90.85
Note: one scholarship was “re-issued”
Bill Kerr gave report re: Christmas Party.
Motion was made to accept December Minutes as published and treasurer’s report was approved as read.
Guest Speaker, Dr./Professor Gavin Manes, a professor with the Center for Information Security at the University of Tulsa and President of Oklahoma Digital Forensics Professionals was introduced by Sherry Strong. Dr. Manes spoke on Digital Forensics, Children and the Internet and the Collection, Preservation, Production and Investigation of Data.
Sherry Strong lead a discussion regarding change of meeting venue. As of January 8, more votes were made to move to the Petroleum Club. Sherry indicated to attendees of the Jan 8 meeting that members who had not yet voted could cast their vote by telephoning or emailing Sherry. Deadline to vote regarding venue change was set for Friday, January 11, 2008.
Bill Kerr presented Tamara Turner with her new member certificate.
Bill Kerr announced that our February 5th speaker will be Clint Judd, the acting Supervisory Agent for the Tulsa F.B.I. Bill indicated that the announcement of Chairpersons of Committees would be made at the February 5 meeting to be held at the Petroleum Club.
The recipient of the Gift Card Drawing was Terrie Hoover.
A motion to adjourn the meeting was made and seconded. Meeting was adjourned.
