It is an honor to have Christopher Pogue, a Senior Analyst for the Spiderlabs Incident Response and Digital Forensics team at Trustwave. With our very existence depending on the security of our critical information, you will find Chris to be a fascinating speaker with timely information for us to take back to work. Chris not only understands the hardware and software handling our data but he is fluent in how to follow attacks throughout bookkeeping and management systems.
Chris holds a BA Degree in Business Management, a Master’s Degree in Information Security, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), a Certified Reverse Engineering Analyst (CREA) a GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA), and a VISA PCI DSS Qualified Security Assessor (QSA). Local, state, federal and foreign agencies have used his expertise to secure arrests in Oklahoma, New York, Florida, Albania and Germany.

Location:
Tulsa Petroleum Club (TPC). The TPC is located at 6th and Boulder in downtown Tulsa. If coming into the downtown from the BA, take the 75-North exit, take the 7th St. downtown exit. Go to Boulder and turn right. It's right there at 6th and Boulder. If coming from other areas, please go to www.tulsapetroleumclub.com for further driving instructions. Park in the underground parking garage (access is on Boulder-the East side of the street), there are two parking entrances, you need the one that says, "Valet Parking". The valet will give you a ticket. That ticket will be stamped at the meeting so you will not have to pay for parking as the parking fee is included in the $16 luncheon fee. Adjacent street parking is available. Go into the building and take the elevator to the TPC.

May 4
Tulsa Area Emergency Management Department Director, Mike McCool, was our speaker. Mike built somewhat on our Active Shooter/Intruder session last month.
November 3
Our topic was EXPLOSIVES AWARENESS FOR TODAY. Our speaker was Philip Ballard with Homeland Security stationed at Tulsa International Airport. Before taking his position with Homeland Security, Phil retired from the Oklahoma State Troopers where he served in the Tactical Team and the Bomb Squad.
August 4th
We got a marvelous TPD update on our city’s struggle with meth labs and took back information to help us identify and report suspected lab activity.
July 7th
ASIS International’s Tulsa Chapter 38 celebrated its 50th anniversary! We enjoyed special food and deserts as Gary Glanz, of GARY GLANZ AND ASSOCIATES kept us fascinated with tales of private security and law enforcement in many of those 50 years. June 2nd
Our speaker will be Michelle with the Oklahoma Fusion Center. The principal role of the fusion center is to compile, analyze, and disseminate criminal/terrorist information and intelligence and other information to support efforts to anticipate, identify, prevent, and/or monitor criminal/terrorist activity. We look forward to hearing how the OFC interfaces with private security and LEAs to keep our state secure.
March 3rd
Our speaker will be Rick Van Auken with Nightshade Investigations. He will speak to us about Oklahoma’s Private Investigators . Rick Van Auken has been a licensed private investigator and security officer for ten years and is the owner of Night Shade Investigations, Ltd. Co. in Chelsea, OK. He retired from the United States Navy in 1993. Since retiring from the Navy Rick has worked in the real estate field and as a Senior Quality Assurance Supervisor in the aviation/aerospace industry. After starting his career in investigations with Jarvis International Intelligence doing, general investigations, workers compensation investigations and security work he left to open his own agency.

Our Luncheon speaker is Ray Evans, Tulsa Fire Dept Captain, assigned as Assistant Fire Marshal. Ray handles public education and community relations for TFD. Ray is a native Tulsan and has been with the Fire Dept for 20 years. You are most encouraged to attend this last lunch meeting for 2008. Cost is $16 per member or guest and complimentary parking is in the underground garage just off Boulder and 6th Street. Please bring guests.

Our featured speaker will be Sgt. Sean Larkin, Unit Supervisor of the Tulsa Police Department's Gang Unit. Sgt. Larkin hopes to also bring a fellow TPD gang unit officer to speak on the topic. This will be very beneficial to all. For business owners, it will help you determine if you have gang members working for you, gang members as customers or if you are experiencing gang graffiti on your property. For other security members, it will be very beneficial to help you identify gang signs, colors, etc.

What a privilege to hear from one of our own members. Jim Hight, former Tulsa Senior Supervisory Resident Agent of the FBI, will be our speaker. Jim now has a consulting agency, Hight & Associates. His topic will be “Identity Theft”. Jim intends to discuss how to protect one’s personal data, how much personal data is on the internet, how criminals/thieves can get the data and how one can remedy this issue. This session will have good information for us personally, as well as for our businesses.
